TRS party

HYDERABAD: The ruling TRS has struck a hole in the Puraporu nomination phase itself. The TRS party won the 17th ward of Bellampalli Municipality of Manchiryala district unanimously. Sudarshan is the candidate of this ward. However, as no other candidate filed nominations in the award, the election of the TRS candidate was formalized. Also, TRS candidates unanimously won the wards 17 and 18 in Ibrahim Patnam of Rangareddy district. With this, at the end of the nomination process, three wards have gone into the TRS account. The same situation seems to exist in some other wards as well. It seems that the top leaders, ministers, in-charges of the constituencies and legislators of TRS have entered the field and are engaged in all-out efforts so that TRS can win many wards unanimously.

Massive demonstrations… rallies

Ministers along with legislators participated in the demonstrations organized on the occasion of TRS candidates filing nominations. Demonstrations were held everywhere and nomination papers were submitted to the Returning Officer. However, the TRS candidates who have already submitted their nominations have been given bifaras as per the instructions of the party leadership. Congress leaders joined the TRS in preparatory meetings held on the occasion of nominations in many areas. Ministers invited them and covered them with rose petals. Mainly in Nirmal, Adilabad, Khammam, Nizamabad, Medak and Rangareddy districts, many local Congress and BJP leaders joined the TRS and declared their support for the TRS candidates in the presence of district ministers.

Yuvajana Congress state level leader Ismail TRS Khandua covered in the presence of Minister V. Srinivas Gow. Ismail said that he joined TRS after being attracted by the state government’s efforts for the welfare of minorities. On the occasion, Minister Srinivas Goud said that urban development will accelerate only if TRS wins. He welcomed the Congress leaders joining TRS. The minister expressed confidence that TRS will register a huge majority in the districts.

Also, Minister Satyavati Rathore, who participated in the election campaign in several towns of Khammam district, said that the government is committed to tribal welfare. She mentioned that all the beneficiaries of government welfare schemes have already declared their support to TRS. Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy participated in the rally organized in Nizamabad and wanted TRS to achieve complete victory in the municipal elections for comprehensive urban development. He said that the government is available to all the people. He expressed confidence that people will bless TRS once again.

Solace to the aspirants

By the end of the nomination period, except for the candidates selected by the party leadership, the TRS aspirants withdrew their nominations and started campaigning activities on behalf of TRS. It is reported that about 400 candidates have filed nominations from TRS as elections are being held for 251 seats in Purva Rangareddy district. But the leaders said that Minister Talasani has stepped in and already withdrawn many people. The district leaders said that the rest will leave within the withdrawal deadline.

Also, the leaders said that the aspirants of former minister and member of the Legislative Council Mahender Reddy were withdrawn. The efforts are continuing as the party leadership has ordered to withdraw the nominations of all the candidates except those who have given B form. The legislators are informing the local leaders about the announcement made by CM KCR that nominated posts will be given to those who do not get opportunities and are giving rest to the aspirants.

Leaders who promote consensus

TRS is promoting unanimity in municipal elections, which gives highest priority to unanimity. If local leaders in towns unanimously elect candidates, the cost of elections will be saved and government incentives will be available. In this context, there are chances of more unanimity in many municipalities by the end of withdrawal. TRS estimates that there is a possibility of increasing the number of farmers mainly in Adilabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Khammam and Medak districts. He said that the TRS candidate was unanimously elected in Bellampally 17th ward as a reward for the government’s efforts for the development of Singareni.

Supervision of the nomination process

The TRS leadership supervised the process of municipality and corporation nominations. As per the instructions of the Asthanam, the state leaders reviewed the nominations district wise. The administration is preparing the lists of aspirants after bringing reports with the legislators on behalf of the municipalities. Apart from those who have received bifaras, the details of the meetings held by the legislators, aspirants who have filed nominations and the details of the party candidates have been received by the leadership. Clear instructions were issued not to ignore the rebels under any circumstances. As per the directives of the party, the leadership has ordered that the party lines should campaign for the TRS candidate who is contesting. The authority said legislators should also consider proposals to give priority to local unanimity.
