Purandeshwari contest from Rajamahendravaram - Mana Telangana
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. According to the list, actress Kangana Ranaut will contest from Mandi (HP). K Surendran has been selected as the BJP candidate for the Wayanad seat in Kerala, where Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi will contest. Naveen Jindal will contest from Kurukshetra (Haryana) and Jagdish Shettar from Belgaum (Karnataka). BJP announced candidates for seats in Andhra Pradesh. While AP BJP chief Purandeshwari will contest from Rajamahendravaram seat, Kiran Kumar Reddy will contest from Rajampet.
BJP has selected Geetha from Kothapalli from Araku, CM Ramesh from Anakapalli, Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma from Narasapuram and Varaprasada Rao from Tirupati (SC). Former Congress leader Jitin Prasad has been announced as BJP’s candidate for the Pilibhit seat in UP, excluding Varun Gandhi. Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has been fielded as a candidate from Sultanpur in UP. Former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Ganguly has been allotted the Tamluk seat in Bengal by the BJP. Barrackpore and Kolkata North seats have been allotted to Arjun Singh and Tapas Roy, who recently joined BJP from TMC.
