Officials revealed that more than 22 thousand nominations have been filed in 9 corporations and 120 municipalities where elections are being held. On the last day Friday, large scale nominations were filed on behalf of TRS, Congress and BJP. The officials accepted the nominations of all those who reached the election office before 5 pm on Friday. According to the report released by the State Election Commission at 7.45 pm on Friday, a total of 21,850 nominations have been received. It has been revealed that 574 nominations have been received online.
Hyderabad: If we look at the details of the nominations received for the district-wise urban local bodies, Ranga Reddy district has received the highest number of 2392 nominations. After that 1910 nominations were filed in Medchal Malkazgiri, 1533 nominations in Nalgonda, 1128 nominations in Peddapally, 1073 nominations in Suryapet and 1043 nominations in Nizamabad. 134 nominations were received in Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district and 187 nominations in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. It is said that this number will increase further as the information has not been received from the districts in full. An average of 6 people filed nominations per ward. More than 3 thousand people have filed nominations in 325 divisions of 9 corporations. More than 18 thousand people have filed nominations for 2727 wards in 120 municipalities.
On Saturday, the officials will scrutinize the nominations and announce the list of those who have filed correctly. There is a possibility of appeal against the rejected nominations on 12th of this month. 14 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Polling will be held on 22nd of this month and counting of votes will be done on 25th. Also, the State Election Commission has clarified the matter of B Forms. B-forms can be issued till the expiry of withdrawal period, it said. It said that B forms can be submitted till 3 pm on 14th. Details of nominations filed for ULBs (Urban Local Bodies) in various districts are as follows.
387 nominations in Adilabad, 294 nominations in Jogulanda Gadwala, 564 nominations for ULBs in Kamareddy district, 823 in Karimnagar, 291 in Khammam, 182 in Komuram Bhim Asifabad, 470 in Mahbubabad, 624 in Mahbubnagar, 554 in Medak, 1 in Medchal Malkazgiri. 910, Nagarkurnool 452, Narayanpet 525, Nirmallo 528, Rajanna Sirisilla 633, Sangareddy 981, Siddipet 685, Vikarabad 709, Vanaparthi 661, Warangal Rural 407 and 659 nominations have been received for ULBs in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district till 7.45 pm, SEC said in a statement released.
