KTR appeals to Piyush Goyal
Hyderabad: State IT and Industries Minister KTR has appealed to Union Industries and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to establish an industrial corridor between the four southern states. He said that industrial growth will be accelerated by the establishment of this corridor. This will create an opportunity for the development of the backward areas of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Industries are already operating in this corridor. As a result, more companies will be able to come in the state in the field of aero space, defense, electronics manufacturing and automobile.
Minister KTR met Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday as part of his visit to Delhi. On this occasion, many industrial projects being undertaken by the Telangana State Government were discussed with him. They wanted to establish a Southern Industrial Corridor between the four states connecting Hyderabad-…..Bangalore…..-Chennai connecting the key industrial areas in South India. He said that due to this, the center will not help much for industrial progress in the south. On this occasion, letters have already been written to the Southern Ministers on the same subject
KTR reminded.
He requested to allocate funds in the upcoming budget for the establishment of these corridors. Will the required land be available if these corridors are established? Piyush Goyal asked Minister KTR. He explained to the Union Minister that there is enough land available in Telangana. He assured KTR that he will look into the proposals of this corridor. Also, Minister KTR also asked to support the dry port to be set up in Telangana and multi-modal logistic parks in terms of funds.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal inquired about Hyderabad Pharma City, Zaheerabad Nimz, the world’s largest integrated pharma cluster being set up by the Telangana government. KTR explained to the Union Minister that the pharmacy launched by the state government is already getting a good response from the pharma sector. Meanwhile, he requested the central government to fund and support the various projects being undertaken by the state government. He said that Telangana government has been working sincerely for industrial growth for the last five years.
Minister KTR said that apart from setting up several industrial parks, the Warangal-Hyderabad corridor is also being set up and efforts are being made to develop industries and attract investments. In this context, the sanction of several industrial corridors was discussed with the Union Minister. Especially Warangal -…. Minister KTR asked Piyush Goyal to sanction two new industrial corridors between Hyderabad, Hyderabad…Nagpur.
Minister KTR explained that Telangana state government is giving utmost priority to the establishment of these corridors. The Union Minister directed his office staff to give an immediate report on various issues mentioned by Minister KTR. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been invited by Minister KTR to attend the Bio Asia Conference to be held in Hyderabad on 17th of next month.
