South Indian film actress Arundhathi Nair was involved in a bike accident in Kerala on March 14. While traveling on the Kovalam bypass road with her brother, the ‘Saithan’ star was struck by a vehicle. Both the actor and her brother were left unattended on the road for nearly an hour. They were taken to the hospital, and Arundhathi is reportedly in critical condition. According to several reports, Arundhathi has sustained severe head injuries. Confirmation of the accident came from Arundhathi’s sister, Arathy Nair, who disclosed that the actress is currently on ventilator support. Arathy took to Instagram to share the news and requested followers to keep Arundhathi in their prayers. She wrote, ‘We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu’s newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair had an accident three days ago. She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum.’ Additionally, a fellow actress and friend of Arundhathi, Gopika Anil, also shared a social media post seeking financial help from fans and followers. ‘My friend Arundhathi met with an accident the previous day and is in very critical condition. As she fights for her life on a ventilator, the daily hospital expenses are becoming too huge to afford. We are doing our part, but that seems insufficient to meet the current hospital requirements. I request you all to kindly contribute the way you can so that it would be very helpful for her family. Thank you so much.’ She included bank details in her post for those willing to contribute.
